The historical record

Who they were

Grizzik was volatile even before the invasion gave her an unlimited supply of terrible ideas. Wild magic moved through her unpredictably, while a dangerous connection to infernal power allowed her to understand—and weaponize—the enemy's own flame. Loyalty, not stability, earned her place among the Eight.

Temperament & methods

How they operated

Restless, delighted, and visibly surrounded by objects nobody else has agreed are safe. Her grin usually means she has solved the problem or significantly changed its definition.

  • Testing magical assumptions through immediate and irresponsible action
  • Turning enemy energy back through its source
  • Using chaos to create openings a disciplined defense cannot predict
  • Protecting companions with the intensity of someone who may also have caused the danger

Known capabilities

What they brought

  • Wild sorcery with unstable battlefield effects
  • Fiend-linked fire and resistance to infernal energies
  • Sabotage of magical devices
  • An alarming ability to survive being closest to her own experiments

What survived the Fall

The deeds attached to the name.

Part history, part national memory, and part legend polished by twenty years of retelling.

  1. 01

Represented Skraggmar among the Eight Champions.

  2. 02

Used infernal fire against the structures sustaining the breach.

  3. 03

Worked with Merribelle to dismantle defenses while the front line held.

  4. 04

Was cleaned up considerably by later songs, which removed most of the profanity and at least three accidental explosions.

Among the Eight

No Champion stood alone.

Merribelle Fairburrow

Planner, friend, and occasional translator for ideas that began with uncontrolled laughter.

Thragar Ironfist

Built devices sturdy enough to channel her power and rules she treated as creative prompts.

Vaelith Morathis

Could extinguish light and open shadow paths, making him either her ideal partner or natural enemy depending on the minute.

Where the record stands

Her fate after the Fall is unresolved. Skraggmar has produced at least nine incompatible accounts, all of which end with something exploding.
